How Minutes Work

Account, Plans and Billing2 min read

Each paid plan includes video minutes every month, and a video uses minutes for its narrated length, counted to the second. Writing and editing the script is free. The Free plan includes one video instead of minutes.

Minutes on Each Plan
  • Free: one video of up to 5 minutes.
  • Lite: 5 minutes a month, videos up to 5 minutes long.
  • Plus: 30 minutes a month, videos up to 15 minutes long.
  • Pro: 60 minutes a month, videos up to 30 minutes long.
  • Max: 150 minutes a month, videos up to 60 minutes long.
  • Team: 320 minutes a month, videos up to 60 minutes long.

1Writing the Script Is Free

Writing, rewriting and editing the script on Script Review use no minutes. Before it writes, Slenvox checks that you have enough minutes for the length you chose.

2Starting Production Uses the Estimate

When you click Start Video Production, Slenvox takes minutes for the estimated narration length of your script.

3Finalizing Settles the Real Length

When you finalize, Slenvox measures the real narrated length of your video to the second, then returns or takes the difference from the estimate. The opening title and hidden motion graphics boards are not counted.

Tip

Finalizing again at the same length or shorter costs nothing, and so does a version in another shape. If a later version is longer than any version you finalized before, only the extra length is charged. Making a video shorter after its first finalize does not return minutes.

4Failed Videos Are Refunded

If a video fails before its scenes are made, its minutes return to your balance automatically. If some scenes are ready, the video opens on the review page with Retry on each failed scene, and retrying uses no minutes. Deleting a video does not return its minutes.

5Minutes Reset Each Month

Monthly plans reset to the plan’s minutes on each renewal date. Annual plans reset on the same day each month, counted from the purchase date. Unused minutes do not roll over. When you upgrade, the minutes left on your current plan are added to the new plan.

6Check Your Minutes

Your dashboard shows the minutes remaining. Account Settings, under Plan & Billing, shows the minutes used and left this period. The Create page and the editor show them at the top.

7When Minutes Run Out

You can still edit, retry scenes, finalize at the same length and download your videos. To make new videos, wait for your next reset or upgrade your plan. Extra minutes are not sold on their own.
