Use Your Own Script Word for Word

Choose Use My Exact Script on the Create page and paste your script. Slenvox narrates your words as written. It only removes formatting such as headings, speaker labels and notes in brackets, then splits the script into sections and scenes.

Good to Know
  • Scripts can be up to 15,000 characters, about 14 minutes of English narration.
  • Production needs at least 50 words.
  • Your plan sets the longest video. Slenvox allows a small margin when it checks the length, so a script estimated at exactly your plan’s limit may need a little trimming.

1Choose Use My Exact Script

On the Create page, click Use My Exact Script. Video Duration, Platform, Video Type and Audience & Tone turn grey, because your script sets the length and the tone. The Docs and URLs tabs are hidden, because documents and links are only used when AI writes the script.

2Paste Your Script

Paste the full narration. Under the box, Slenvox shows the estimated length, for example ~5 min based on 860 words. Put a blank line between paragraphs: when your paragraphs hold more than one sentence each, every paragraph becomes its own section. Otherwise Slenvox groups the sentences into sections by topic.

3Know What Is Removed

Before narration, Slenvox removes heading, bullet, bold and italic marks; lines that start with a production label such as Title:, Scene:, Visual:, Music:, B-roll: or VO:; speaker names such as Narrator: or Host: at the start of a line; text in square brackets; notes in parentheses such as (pause) or (laughs); and web links and email addresses. Numbers and abbreviations are read as written.

Tip

A line that starts with a label such as Chapter 1: or Part 2: is removed completely, including the words after the label. To have those words narrated, put them on a line without the label.

4Check the Language

Slenvox detects the language of your script as you type, and Video Language shows Detected from your script. To choose the language yourself, click change under it.

5Start Production

Pick a narrator voice, Visuals and Aspect Ratio, then click Start Production and Confirm. Script Review shows your words in sections, and you can still edit any line. Rewrite Entire Script is not offered for your own script.
