Turn a PDF or PowerPoint Into a Video

Create a Video2 min read

Upload a PDF or PowerPoint file on the Create page, and Slenvox reads it page by page, writes a narrated script from it, and places its charts, diagrams and pictures in the scenes that talk about them.

What You Can Upload
  • PDF and PowerPoint (.pptx) files. Save older .ppt files as .pptx first.
  • Up to 2 documents in one video, 200 MB each.
  • Slenvox reads up to 150 pages or slides in total. Pages after that are not used.
  • Word and Excel files are not supported. Save them as PDF first.

1Describe the Video

On the Create page, choose AI Writes My Script. In the text box, say what the video should cover and who will watch it, for example: “A 4-minute training video on turning over a departure room, for new housekeeping staff.”

2Upload Your File

In the Project Assets panel, open the Docs tab and drag the file into the box, or click the box to choose it. Slenvox starts reading as soon as the upload finishes, and the file shows Analyzed when it is ready.

The Docs tab takes PDF and PowerPoint (.pptx) files.
Tip

If a file shows Could not read this document, it will not be used for the script. Upload a version with selectable text instead of a scan.

3Check the Length

With a document attached, the Video Duration slider moves to fit the document until you change it. A note shows how much of the document fits, for example: Your document ≈ 8 min · you chose 5 min → about 62% covered.

4Choose Your Settings and Start

Pick the language, Visuals and narrator voice, then click Start Production and Confirm.

5Check the Script

On Script Review, make sure the script covers the points that matter most in your document. Edit any line, or highlight text and ask AI to rewrite it.

Review and Edit Your Script

6Review the Scenes

Pages from your document appear in the scenes that talk about them. On the review page you can change any scene before you finalize the video.

Tip

Charts, diagrams and photos make the strongest visuals. Pages that are mostly text still help, because Slenvox uses them to write the script.
